Week 18 fantasy football TE rankings: Best starts at tight end

There's an old adage that it takes tight ends a while to adjust from the college game to the pros. But lately, that school of thought has been repeatedly debunked.

In 2025, we've seen no fewer than three rookie tight ends put up top-15 fantasy seasons. So much for that lengthy adjustment period.

Through 16 games, Harold Fannin Jr. of the Browns is the TE5, averaging 11.7 fantasy points per game. The Colts' Tyler Warren sits at TE7 at 11.3 points per game. But the best bet this week might be the surging Colston Loveland of the Chicago Bears.

After a slow start, Loveland is up to TE14. But over his last nine games, the former Wolverine is averaging 13.0 fantasy points per game. With so many top tight ends (including Fannin) ailing this week, Loveland rates as a top-five selection.
