On Sunday night, the Golden State Warriors suffered a disappointing loss in overtime to the Toronto Raptors. The Warriors led for most of the fourth quarter, but went cold late and the Raptors ran away with a win in overtime. Monday was a different story. It was the Warriors who heated up down the stretch against the Brooklyn Nets.
The Warriors started slow, falling down by as many as 13 in the first quarter against the Nets. However, the Warriors woke up in the second quarter, taking the lead before halftime. In the third quarter, the Warriors and Nets traded buckets back and forth with Golden State clinging to a four-point lead heading into the final 12 monutes of the game.

The Warriors outscored the Nets 31-22 in the fourth quarter to slam the door on the Nets and bounce back on the second leg of a road back-to-back, 120-107. Steph Curry tallied a game-high 27 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field with five made 3-pointers to go along with five assists and two boards in 29 minutes. Jimmy Butler added 21 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field with five boards and four assists in 31 minutes.
Four members of the Warriors tallied double figures off the bench on Monday. After missing Sunday's game, De'Anthony Melton posted a team-high +26 off the bench with 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting with eight boards, two steals and an assist in 24 minutes off the bench. Trayce Jackson-Davis, Gary Payton II and rookie Will Richard all notched 10 or more points off the bench in Brooklyn.
The Warriors cleaned up their turnovers on Monday in Brooklyn. After turning the ball over 20 times on Sunday in Toronto, the Warriors only committed 13 turnovers against the Nets.
The Warriors' road trip will continue on New Year's Eve in a rare morning game against the Charlotte Hornets set for 10 a.m. PT.
