Heading into the fourth quarter on Monday night at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, the Golden State Warriors trailed the Los Angeles Clippers by 12 points. In a dramatic fourth quarter that saw Steve Kerr ejected and Steph Curry fouling out, the Warriors still outscored the Clippers 38-27 in the final 12 minutes.

However, a missed turnaround jumper from Jimmy Butler in the final seconds of the game marked Golden State's comeback short in a 103-102 loss to the Clippers on Monday night.

Curry finished with a game-high 27 points on 9-for-23 shooting from the field with four made triples to go along with six assists and four boards in 33 minutes. With under two minutes remaining, Curry knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers to get Golden State within one point of Los Angeles. Yet, on the next possession, Curry committed his sixth foul of the game and was sent to the bench with 42 seconds on the clock and the Warriors trailing by three.

After a bucket from Draymond Green and a defensive stop, the Warriors had the ball for the final shot, trailing by one. With seven seconds on the clock, Butler hoisted a turnaround jumper over Nic Batum that missed to the left, ending the game in favor of the Clippers, 103-102.

Butler notched 24 points on 7-of-16 shooting from the field with six boards, four steals and two assists in 33 minutes. Gary Payton II joined Curry and Butler as the only double-figure scorers on Monday night. Payton tallied 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting with five rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes off the bench.

After their loss in Hollywood, the Warriors will return to Chase Center for an eight-game homestand starting on Wednesday with a game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
