As the holiday break comes to a close, athletes throughout the Eugene-Springfield area have continued to deliver outstanding performances.

Izabella Castleberry, Harrisburg wrestling
Harrisburg senior Izabella Castleberry was the runner-up in the 170-pound division Dec. 30 at the Sierra Nevada Classic in Reno. Castleberry entered the tournament as the No. 21 seed before upsetting four higher-ranked opponents to reach the final.
Molly Cummings, Thurston wrestling
Thurston's Molly Cummings won all seven of her bouts — five by fall and two by forfeit — in the 125-pound class Dec. 29-30 at the Northwest Duals in Albany.

Over the course of four games at the Tarkanian Classic in Las Vegas, Springfield freshman forward Nuari Filipe averaged 21.5 points and 10.7 rebounds to lead the Millers to four straight wins.

Kaylee Hadden, Thurston wrestling
Thurston's Kaylee Hadden won all six of her matches — four by fall and two by forfeit — in the 110-pound class Dec. 29-30 at the Northwest Duals in Albany.
Eden Ridgley, Harrisburg wrestling
Harrisburg sophomore Eden Ridgley captured the 100-pound title Dec. 30 at the Sierra Nevada Classic in Reno. Ridgley defeated Reed's Eliana Santos-Banks in the final.
