The senior dropped a combined 45 points in two games against Central Noble and Mishawaka Marian to help the Lions win the Wawasee Holiday Tournament December 27.

Trenyce Harris, Elkhart girls basketball
The senior dropped a team-high 15 points vs. Mishawaka Marian January 3 to win the South Bend Adams holiday tournament championship. She added six points in a win over South Bend Riley earlier in the day as the Lions went 2-0.

Levi Sawatzky, Goshen boys basketball
The senior dropped 39 points in a win against Hammond Morton at the RedHawks’ own holiday tournament December 27. In the game prior, a victory vs. Kankakee Valley, Sawatzky scored nine.

Dre Weddington, John Glenn girls basketball
The senior dropped a team-high combined 19 points in two games as the Falcons won the Tri-Township-hosted holiday tournament January 2-3.
Griffin Ott-Large, La Porte boys basketball
The junior dropped a combined 55 points in three games, winning the Slicers’ own Steiner Homes Holiday Tournament MVP as La Porte went 3-0 to win the tournament championship.

Lance Edison, LaVille boys basketball
The junior dropped a combined 76 points in four games at the Wawasee Holiday Tournament January 2-3, leading the Lancers to an appearance in the championship game, which was lost to the host Warriors in overtime.
Laniah Davis, Marquette Catholic girls basketball
The senior Northern Illinois commit was named to the Interra Classic All-Tournament Team, dropping a combined 66 points in four games as the previously undefeated Blazers went 1-3 with a win against Rushville December 30.

Kariya Byer, Mishawaka Marian girls basketball
The sophomore dropped a combined 75 points in four games across two separate holiday tournaments December 27 and January 3 as the Knights went 1-1 in each, with wins against Wawasee and South Bend Adams.

Naima Ghaffar, NorthWood girls wrestling
The senior defending state champion kept her undefeated season alive by winning three matches at the Goshen-hosted IHSAA sectional January 2 en route to becoming the 135-pound class sectional champion.
Matthew “MJ” Staples, New Prairie boys wrestling
The sophomore continued his undefeated high school career by winning five matches en route to a 165-pound class championship at the Al Smith Invitational January 2-3.

Brady Scholl, Northridge boys basketball
The senior Indiana Wesleyan commit eclipsed 1,000 career points in a 40-point performance against Merrillville December 29. Scholl also dropped 30 points vs. Kokomo and nine points vs. South Bend Riley as the Raiders won the Phil Cox Memorial Holiday Tournament.
Cam Conley, Northridge girls basketball
The senior was named to the Interra Classic All-Tournament Team, dropping a combined 36 points in four games as the Raiders went 3-1 with wins against Marquette Catholic, Greensburg and Franklin Central December 29-30.

Caleb Coolman, Penn boys basketball
The sophomore dropped a combined 52 points in three games as the Kingsmen went 2-1 at the Homestead Holiday Tournament December 26-27, including wins against Center Grove and Zionsville.

Jillian Sanderson, Penn girls basketball
The freshman was named to the Interra Classic All-Tournament Team, dropping a combined 54 points in four games as the Kingsmen went 3-1 with wins against Franklin Central, Rushville and Westfield December 29-30.
Penn girls wrestling team
The Kingsmen won an IHSAA sectional championship with 255 total points at the Plymouth-hosted sectional January 2, boosted by individual titles from Madeline Thompson (120 pounds), Isabella Reller (135 pounds), Madison Raper (170 pounds) and Lily Clark (235 pounds).

Caroline Balica, Plymouth girls wrestling
The junior continued her undefeated season by winning two matches at the Rockies’ own IHSAA sectional, capturing the 130-pound class sectional crown.
Drew Dixon, South Bend Adams boys basketball
The junior led the Eagles to a 3-0 record at the Huntington North Classic Tournament December 29-30, dropping a combined 45 points for the champions, including a game-winning buzzer-beater to cap off a 30-point performance against previously unbeaten Columbia City.
Elijah King, South Bend Saint Joseph boys basketball
The junior dropped 35 points in an incredible double overtime loss to Mt. Vernon Fortville December 26 at the Homestead Holiday Tournament before scoring a combined 42 points in two wins against Fort Wayne Carroll and Hamilton Southeastern December 27.

Arianna Rowell, South Bend Saint Joseph girls basketball
The freshman dropped 67 points in two wins against Lakeland and Portage as the Huskies won their own holiday tournament December 30, then she scored 33 points in a win against Hammond Bishop Noll January 3.
