The Unpacking Future Packers Countdown is a countdown of 100 prospects who the Green Bay Packers could select in the 2026 NFL draft.

The cornerback room at 1265 Lombardi Avenue could get a makeover this offseason. When healthy, Nate Hobbs -- one of the free agent prizes for Brian Gutekunst and the Green Bay Packers this past offseason -- was utterly disappointing during his first season in Green Bay. Keisean Nixon has been up and down, while Carrington Valentine has looked okay for a former seventh-round pick.

It’s a room filled with a bunch of sidekicks. It needs a superhero.

A prospect who could be a potential target on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, who could potentially develop into an X-Factor, is Ephesians Prysock. The Washington cornerback checks in at No. 98 in the Unpacking Future Packers Countdown.

A four-star recruit out of California, Prysock started his collegiate career at Arizona. Prysock became a full-time starter for the Wildcats as a sophomore in 2023 and recorded 61 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception and seven pass deflections.

In 2024, Prysock transferred to Washington and recorded 45 tackles and six pass deflections. This past season, he recorded 48 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception and seven pass deflections.

“He was a key piece not just on the outside at cornerback, but as part of establishing Jedd Fisch's culture upon his arrival,” Roman Tomashoff, the editor for UWHuskiesWire, said. “He quickly turned into a leader on a team that was desperate for veteran voices.”

At 6-4, Prysock is a long cornerback. He has elite height and length for the position. The Arizona transfer possesses good short-area quickness, complemented by the foot speed to mirror. For a taller corneback, Prysock has surprisingly good fluidity in his lower half to stay attached. He uses his length to be disruptive and take away passing lanes.

During his three seasons as a starter, he recorded 19 pass deflections. As a former high school wide receiver, Prysock has budding ball skills. If he can start to get his head turned quicker, he may start turning those pass deflections into interceptions at the next level.

“His length and athleticism are extremely rare,” Tomashoff said. “He has the ability to not just press and stick with bigger receivers off the line, but his ability to move in short areas has made him very effective against smaller receivers as well.”

Prysock isn’t a weak link in run support. While he can have a more aggressive trigger, he’s a willing participant and posted 14 stops this past season. His length gives him a wide tackle radius.

“Prysock was arguably the most improved player on the defense in 2025 because his tackling took a major step forward,” Tomashoff said. “He turned into a key piece in run support under defensive coordinator Ryan Walters, who asks a lot of his defensive backs in run support, and he rose to the challenge.”

During his four seasons on campus, Prysock logged 402 snaps on special teams and recorded three tackles. It's an area where he could provide an impact as a rookie.

Fit with the Packers

Tools and upside. The Packers need playmakers at the cornerback position, and as a Day 3 pick, Prysock is oozing with traits and could be a golden ticket for Gutekunst.

“I'd draft Prysock because of all his elite traits,” Tomashoff said. “The athleticism he possesses at his size is so hard to find and in the right system, with how he's continued to improve throughout his career could make him a sneaky building block for a defense looking for help on the outside.”

Prysock is exactly the kind of high-upside, high-ceiling prospect the Packers could target as the try to find X-factors for the cornerback room. With his length and athleticism, Prysock has all the tools in the shed to develop into a difference maker on the boundary.

Even if Prysock never develops into a star, he'd provide quality depth at the position and provide an immediate impact on special teams.
