Good morning, BBN!
As the new year approaches, that also means the start of SEC basketball is right around the corner. With plenty of games set to highlight the opening week, none may be bigger than the matchup in Tuscaloosa on Saturday as our Kentucky Wildcats face off with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Despite four early losses by the Cats, they seemed to have finally started piecing it together over the last few weeks. With their health also turning around and the debut of Jayden Quaintance against St. John’s, there may be more momentum surrounding this team than many of us thought heading into conference play.
The team is also catching the attention of the national media as well, as the matchup this Saturday got tabbed the game of the week by Andy Katz.
Last year, the Tide and Nate Oats had Mark Pope’s number. Well, with completely new-look rosters for both coaches, who will have the upper hand this season? We will get that answer quickly on Saturday.

A win for Kentucky would not only be big for their resume, but would also continue the momentum as the team tries to make a push for another SEC title. Let’s hope it starts on Saturday.
Go Cats!
