Transferring OL twins have scheduled portal visit after leaving MSU

5 days ago 2

Michigan State football lost twins Mercer and Charlton Luniewski to the transfer portal earlier this week, with the two deciding to move on from their time in East Lansing.

Now, it has been revealed that the twins have scheduled their first visits in the portal. They will be heading to California to visit San Diego State. New Aztecs offensive line coach Bill O’Boyle would be familiar with the twins, having previously worked at Kent State, where he recruited the Cincinnati natives early in their career.

The twins both play on the offensive line, with Mercer being more of a tackle at 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds, while Charlton projects on the inside at 6-foot-5 and 305 pounds. Charlton is the only one who saw game action, playing in six snaps against Prairie View A&M in 2024.
