With news that the Miami Dolphins are moving on head coach Mike McDaniel, 25 percent of the NFL is currently in search of a new head coach. One of those teams are the Tennessee Titans. According to reports, via 93.7 The Fan, the Titans are making a request to interview Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.

The Titans and Smith have a long history together so it makes sense they would be interested in bringing him back. Smith was on the Titans staff from 2011 through 2020. Smith served as the Titans offensive coordinator from 2019 through 2020 when the Titans had one of the best offenses in the NFL. He coached quarterback Ryan Tannehill to Comeback Player of the Year. Smith parlayed that success into a head coaching job with the Atlanta Falcons.

Pittsburgh hired Smith in 2024 after three seasons as the Falcons head coach. Smith has had some flashes this season as the Steelers OC and helped get the Pittsburgh into the playoffs.
