It’s pretty evident that the tight end position is a big part of Arizona’s offensive plans for next season
The Wildcats have earned a third tight end commitment from the NCAA transfer portal. Ex-San Diego State TE Arthur Ban joins previous commits Cole Rusk from Illinois and Shane King from Southern Miss.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Ban will have three seasons of eligibility for Arizona. He spent two years at San Diego State, appeared in nine games, mostly as a blocking tight end with no career receptions.

Ban will help Arizona try to replace the production of departing tight ends Sam Olson and Cameron Barmore. The UA brings back only ones TE with starting experience in Tyler Powell, who suffered a season-ending injury on the first offensive play in August.
Arizona is up to eight transfer commitments, four on offense.
