Things are getting weird for former Bengals LB Logan Wilson, Cowboys

1 week ago 2

When it comes to former Cincinnati Bengals players, Logan Wilson is suddenly the most interesting of the bunch by quite a long shot.

Thank the dysfunctional Dallas Cowboys.

Wilson joined the Cowboys near the trade deadline as the Bengals went all-in with rookies Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter. He’s played just 170 snaps with the Cowboys over six games and struggles to break onto the field over former first-round bust Kenneth Murray.

Somehow…things just got stranger, too.

Wilson is the big headline item around Dallas and the Cowboys right now because he played literally zero snaps against Washington during a win on Christmas Day.

In the aftermath this week, Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer claimed a “rotation error” was the culprit for Wilson not getting on the field.

Whatever that means.

It feels like the Cowboys coaching staff came up with a public excuse for not playing Wilson because owner Jerry Jones went public on the radio and essentially criticized the staff for, well, not playing Wilson.

Whatever the case may be, it’s clear there’s a disconnect between ownership and the coaching staff in Dallas. Wilson is very, very publicly caught in the middle.

And the Cowboys, often cited as the Bengals of the NFC, are an incredible example of just how much worse things could be.
