These combined stats in 2025 are bad news for the Jets

After a beyond disappointing season for the New York Jets, somehow, many numbers make the reflection back even worse.

Here's one of the big ones.

The Jets finished with a 3-14 record in Aaron Glenn's first season as head coach. Injuries and trades certainly did not help, but the team's defense took a massive step backward regardless.

How much so? In a historically bad fashion.

With the dust settled on the numbers on the 2025 season, the Jets defense was historically bad by becoming the first team to finish in dead last in the NFL in point differential, turnover differential and yardage in one season:

This is noteworthy moving forward.

While many in New York are looking at the Jets to find a quarterback of the future during the 2026 offseason, clearly the defense needs to be invested in a lot.

What do the Green and White do? That's will be decided by Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey.
