Texas Football transfer portal disappointment as RB target stays put

6 days ago 2

One of the Texas Longhorns top transfer portal targets has decided to stay put. Louisville Cardinals running back Isaac Brown will stay with the Cardinals next season.

It had been reported in several outlets that Brown was transferring. Many of the national predictions had Brown landing in Austin, including 247Sports. He was also rumored to be on the 40 Acres this weekend. But whatever the reason, Brown will stay in Kentucky.

In his third year at Louisville, Brown will be one of the best running backs in the ACC. He was named All-ACC third team this past season after rushing for 782 yards and five touchdowns in just eight games. His season ended early due to injury. He lead the conference in yards per carry at 8.8.

Brown would have been a perfect signing for Texas, whose running game was the worst it's been since the 1940s.
