Texas A&M's first-year head coach gave the LSU Tigers men's basketball program a first-hand look at what "Bucky Ball" is all about, as the Aggies captured their first Southeastern Conference win of the Bucky McMillan era at Reed Arena on Saturday.
The Maroon and White commanded the lead for the majority of the contest, but a late charge by Matt McMahon's squad resulted in a back-and-forth battle in the closing moments of the contest. Another outstanding performance from Rashaun Agee helped send the Tigers back to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with their first loss of conference play, as the graduate forward secured a double-double by leading the team with 15 points and 11 rebounds in the 75-72 win over LSU. Guards Rubén Dominguez and Pop Isaacs combined for 24 points, while Ali Dibba secured 12 off the bench.

Texas A&M shot 41.9% from the field and 71.4% from the free-throw line as a unit. The Aggies' high-paced attack outscored the Tigers, 18-7, in fast-break points.
McMillan has his team out to a four-game winning streak and a 1-0 record to begin SEC play. While the Aggies must continue to improve from range, as the team shot just 28.6% from beyond the arc in the win, there are a plethora of exhilarating playmakers in Bryan-College Station, Texas, who want to turn the program around this season. Texas A&M moved to 11-3 with the first victory of the new year, but league play presents more difficult challenges ahead, including games against six teams currently ranked in the top 25.
The Aggies' next SEC contest takes place on Tuesday, Jan. 6, as McMillan's squad faces the Auburn Tigers at Neville Arena in Auburn, Alabama. Tip-off against the Tigers is set for 8 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on the SEC Network.
