Texas A&M lands commitment from LSU transfer offensive lineman

Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko has secured another impact piece for the future of his Maroon Goons, pulling a starting‑caliber offensive lineman away from a permanent SEC opponent.

On Monday, On3Sports reported that LSU redshirt sophomore transfer Tyree Adams committed to Texas A&M. The former four‑star prospect chose the Aggies over several other programs and arrives in College Station with two years of eligibility remaining.

Adams brings rare size and versatility at 6‑foot‑7 and 310 pounds, with the athletic profile to play guard or tackle on either side of the line. His 2025 campaign was cut short by a high ankle sprain, but before the injury, he started nine games at left tackle and allowed just one sack, four QB hits, and six pressures.

That level of efficiency in the SEC underscores why Elko and his staff prioritized him. Adams fits the exact transfer profile the Aggies have targeted: multi‑year players with proven experience who still have room to grow.

With the departure of nearly the entire 2025 offensive line, Adams is expected to compete immediately for significant snaps in 2026 and beyond. His combination of size, movement skills, and SEC game reps makes him a strong candidate to anchor one of the tackle spots as Texas A&M rebuilds its front.
