The transfer portal is open, and Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko will have plenty to consider on both sides of the ball, which will include adding another wide receiver after KC Concepcion announced his intention to enter the 2026 NFL Draft, a decision that was not surprising given his elite performance during the 2025 season.
While Concepcion's playmaking ability will be missed, the Aggies need to find a true X receiver with the height, length, and catch radius to shore up the red zone offense, allowing starting quarterback Marcel Reed to continue improving as a pocket passer, and provide more confidence with another playmaker to utilize through the air.

This week, the news that Auburn star wide receiver Cam Coleman planned to enter the transfer portal was shocking to say the least. While the Aggies have been directly connected to the standout pass catcher, several intriguing names have entered the portal, including Texas wide receiver Parker Livingstone and Rutgers wideout Ian Strong, who both fit that X receiver mold.
Livingstone's departure was surprising after finishing his redshirt freshman season with 516 yards and six receiving touchdowns. At the same time, his close friendship with starting quarterback Arch Manning helped create one of the better connections. Does this mean the Longhorns are freeing up space to pursue Cam Coleman? Possibly, but nothing has been reported.
Ian Strong is another solid option, standing at 6'3", and totaled 95 receptions for 1,438 yards and 10 touchdowns during his last two seasons at Rutgers. Aggie fans will remember wide receiver Caleb Chapman, who, despite his injury issues, was one of the more reliable deep threats because of his stature and long-strider speed, which has been missing from the A&M passing attack since Noah Thomas transferred to Georgia.
