Texas A&M's former four-star defensive lineman is entering the transfer portal and seeking a new destination for his sophomore campaign in 2026.
According to On3 Sports' Pete Nakos, Aggie freshman Dealyn Evans announced his departure from Bryan-College Station, Texas, on Thursday. The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder from Longview notched eight total tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, for Mike Elko's squad this season. Evans made 13 appearances for the Aggies in 2025, after only seeing action in two games as a true freshman in 2024 before redshirting.

As he seeks his next landing spot to continue his collegiate football career, he has three years of eligibility remaining.
Evans has the potential to become a monster defensive lineman wherever he signs. Rivals ranked him as the No. 168 overall prospect and No. 15 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle. He was also an Under Armour All-American Bowl selection, ranking No. 175 in ESPN's Top 300.
During his senior campaign at Pine Tree High School, Evans recorded 58 tackles, including 8.0 tackles for loss, and 4.0 sacks on his way to securing first-team all-district honors. Evans has all the intangibles to become a dominant force in college football. His versatility to move anywhere up front and his ability to play on the edge as a pass rusher will likely make him a sought-after athlete for many schools, including some SEC programs.

For Coach Elko, this marks the 10th Aggie to enter the transfer portal this offseason. The Texas A&M coaching staff, including Elko, has done a tremendous job of replacing the holes left by those leaving the program for the NFL or their next collegiate opportunity, as the Aggies currently rank No. 3 in the transfer portal recruiting rankings.
