After much anticipation, Texas A&M officially announced a new addition to the Ol' Sarge lineup of merchandise on Monday afternoon.

Aggie fans can get their hands on the new basketball merch with Ol' Sarge front and center on Saturday, January 10, at Reed Arena when Texas A&M takes on the Oklahoma Sooners. The new line includes a variety of different items, including shirts, polos, jackets, hoodies and hats.

Pete Tumlinson first introduced Texas A&M's historic logo in 1938, who etched and implemented Ol' Sarge in the Battalion Humor Magazine. The cartoon created by Tumlinson features a strong-jawed prisoner smoking as prison guards and a lawyer discuss his fate with a judge. Underneath the image, the caption stated, "He's too tough for Alcatraz, y'r'onor. Let's send him to A&M." From there, Ol' Sarge was born.

The new addition to the lineup of throwback merchandise was announced through social media, which included a hype video showcasing the new logo:

While there are still five days remaining until the Maroon and White faithful can secure items from the new lineup, the Aggies are set for a matchup against the Auburn Tigers at Neville Arena on Tuesday night. In just his first season at the helm, Bucky McMillan helped led his team to a 75-72 victory over the LSU Tigers in the program's SEC opener, marking the team's fourth consecutive win.
