The Washington Commanders haven't had much to be happy about in 2025.
However, the season is coming to a close on Sunday, and veteran wide receiver Terry McLaurin accomplished a historic feat in the finale. The star receiver officially surpassed 1,000 career receiving yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. McLaurin is now the fifth player in Washington franchise history to accomplish that feat, and the eighth all-time.

McLaurin has four games of 100+ receiving yards against the Eagles in his career.
McLaurin joins some elite company, like Jason Witten, Art Monk, Bobby Mitchell, and Michael Irvin.
The longtime Commander has had the least productive season of his career due to injuries, but it's nice to at least end on a positive note. Entering Week 18, McLaurin had 34 catches for 525 yards and three touchdowns. McLaurin had at least 1,000 yards in each of his previous five seasons.
The receiver isn't the only key Washington player to deal with injuries in 2025. Jayden Daniels, Deebo Samuel, Austin Ekeler, Sam Cosmi, Dorance Armstrong, and Marshon Lattimore are just some of the other players who have been out this season. The team surprised many by advancing all the way to the NFC Championship Game last year, but will now have a long offseason with many questions to answer.
