The Tennessee Titans' coaching search is moving fast, with Mike Borgonzi kicking off virtual interviews on Wednesday with Vance Joseph and Lou Anarumo.

While the Titans have multiple virtual interviews scheduled in the coming days, their initial list of potential coaches continues to grow, and another name can be added: Robert Saleh.

Albert Breer reports that Tennessee has joined the Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals in requesting an interview with the San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator, who, according to NFL rules, cannot interview until after Wild Card Weekend.

Saleh has been a name atop fans' wishlists across social media since Brian Callahan was fired, and he fits with the defensive-minded theme this coaching search has taken. With 21 years of NFL coaching experience, he brings the leadership qualities and temperament Borgonzi has discussed.

Saleh also has head-coaching experience, spending three-plus seasons with the New York Jets (2021-2024), where he compiled a 20-36 record. After his work keeping the 49ers’ defense afloat in 2025, Saleh has climbed back into head coaching talks and is one of the top head coaching prospects in this cycle.

Per NFL rules, Saleh cannot interview until after the 49ers' matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and talks will likely be scheduled early next week.
