The Tennessee Titans have had a pretty rough couple of years, but this season was one of the worst since Jeff Fisher took over as head coach. Two 3-win seasons in a row after firing Mike Vrabel have resulted in the Titans being on their second general manager and in search of their second head coach. It's not pretty in Nashville right now.
The Titans' players never gave up, though. When interim head coach Mike McCoy took over, this team wasn't playing good football. McCoy may not have improved the team a ton, but he at least got them functioning as a unit by the end of the season. But he didn't do it alone; the players showed up every week and played to the best of their ability, given the team's circumstances.

While the NFL announces its official awards at a later date, Titans Wire hands out the MVP, Rookie of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and Defensive Player of the Year awards for Tennessee in 2025.
MVP: Jeffery Simmons
This one wasn't even a question at TitansWire; Simmons was by far the best performer of the entire season. He ended the season with 67 tackles (39 solo), 11 sacks, 17 tackles for a loss, three pass defenses, and three forced fumbles. His 11 sacks and 17 tackles for a loss led the team, and it wasn't even close. He was selected for his 4th Pro Bowl appearance this year, and he ranked among the top defenders in the league.

Offensive Player of the Year: Peter Skoronski
If there was one consistent piece on the offensive line this year, it was Peter Skoronski. The right side of the ball was often the target of blitzes and increased pass rushing because of Skoronski's ability to sniff it out on the left side. His left tackle changed on a regular basis throughout the season, but Skoronski allowed just two sacks all season. He was a huge part of why Cam Ward was successful toward the end of the season.
Others receiving votes: Cam Ward, Tony Pollard
Defensive Player of the Year: Jeffery Simmons
There's not much left to say about Simmons. He's the clear leader of the Titans' defense, and he's making appearances on the offense now, even scoring a touchdown this year. Simmons is more than his stats; he has a massive presence that extends beyond his own body. He is fast off the line, athletic, and more agile than he should be for his size. He is often double-teamed because he presents a real threat, and he is still successful on the field.

Comeback Player of the Year: Lloyd Cushenberry
Titans center Lloyd Cushenberry was placed on injured reserve after tearing his Achilles tendon in Week 9 of the 2024 season. He managed to heal, rehab, and be ready for Week 1 of the 2025 season. He missed two games this season - Weeks 13 and 14 - with a foot injury, but he was on the field, doing his job to the best of his ability for the bulk of the season. We don't have production stats for offensive linemen, but Cushenberry had a solid 2025 season.
Others receiving votes: Chig Okonkwo, Tyjae Spears
Most Improved Player: Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray spent the early portion of the 2024 season on the Titans' practice squad. He would be elevated later in the year after some injury problems, but he didn't make a whole lot of noise. This year, it was evident that he had been practicing because he earned a starting position during training camp and preseason. In seven games last year, Gray recorded 22 tackles (13 solo) and 1.5 stuffs. This season, in 16 games, Gray recorded 164 tackles (97 solo), one sack, one fumble recovery, four pass deflections, and 13.5 stuffs. On top of that, Gray looked visibly improved as you watched him on the field.

Rookie of the Year: Chimere Dike
Many people may still pick Cam Ward for this award, but at TitansWire, we look at the whole picture. Without Dike, the Titans don't win any games this season. Maybe that's an extreme view, but he is responsible for six total touchdowns this season, and a few of them came at critical moments in games. On offense, Dike recorded 48 receptions for 423 yards and four touchdowns, and rushed 11 times for 18 yards.
Others receiving votes: Cam Ward
Surprise of the Year: Chimere Dike
To continue from the above, Dike was a huge surprise to everyone in the NFL this year. He led the entire league in all-purpose yards. To add to his offensive stats, Dike also returned 23 punts for 398 yards and two touchdowns, and 62 kickoffs for 1,588 yards. This brings his all-purpose yards total to 2,427 yards, which didn't just lead the league, it set a new record for the most all-purpose yards in a rookie season.
Others receiving votes: Cedric Gray, Chig Okonkwo, Calvin Ridley
