Tennessee offensive lineman William Satterwhite plans to enter the transfer portal, which opened Jan. 2, according to numerous reports.

Satterwhite was a redshirt freshman in the 2025 season, and he has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

In 2024, he played three games and took a redshirt. In 2025, he played eight games as a backup center.

Satterwhite was expected to take over the starting center position in 2025. But Tennessee picked up Notre Dame transfer Sam Pendleton in the portal in January 2024, and he eventually beat out Satterwhite for the spot. Satterwhite still rotated in for first-team reps at center in a few games.

Satterwhite is a 6-foot-5, 305-pounder from Akron, Ohio. He was a four-star recruit and ranked the No. 12 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 class by 247Sports Composite.
