In a year that not many were expecting for the Chicago Bears in the first season under head coach Ben Johnson, there are playoff conversations being had around the city and in local media at the end of December.
With just one week to go in the regular season, players, fans, and media are preparing for a playoff run, which will see Chicago with either the No. 2 or 3 seed depending on how they fare in Week 18 against the Detroit Lions.

Linebacker T.J. Edwards joined "670 The Score" on Tuesday and was told the possibilities of the Bears playing one of the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams or San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the playoffs. When asked to give his ranking of opponents, Edwards put his focus on the city of Chicago and Bears fans, saying he knows that they want to see the Packers to begin the playoffs.
"Rank them?" Edwards responded in a joking manner. "I think I know for sure the city would love to see Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field. How could you not? The Rams and 49ers, you could put those two neck-and-neck just by process of elimination. Again, we're going to play whoever is on the schedule and that's where we at. We'll let you guys fight over who is the best matchup and all of that."
It's a great team-first style answer from Edwards, but one that should definitely have the Bears fanbase fired up, especially given their Week 16 meeting. The improbable comeback at Soldier Field had many calling for a third meeting between the Bears and Packers, and if Chicago can defeat the Lions in Week 18, the fanbase may just get exactly what they're hoping for in the opening playoff matchup.
