The Pittsburgh Steelers have parted ways with a veteran offensive lineman ahead of the postseason matchup against the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round of playoffs.
On Tuesday, the Steelers announced the practice squad release of 30-year old offensive tackle David Sharpe, potentially setting up for another move in the coming days.
Visiting with Pittsburgh on December 5, Sharpe signed with the Steelers practice squad five days later, but wouldn't appear in the any regular season games before his release.

Following Sharpe's departure, the Steelers have just two offensive linemen on their practice squad — offensive guards Doug Nester and Steven Jones.
