As the 2025 regular season conclusion rapidly approaches, a few awards have been given out to deserving members of the Pittsburgh Steelers — and this time, it's LB Patrick Queen being honored.
On Wednesday, Teresa Varley of Steelers.com announced that Queen was named this year's recipient of 'The Chief' Award. Established in honor of team founder Art Rooney Sr., the award is given out annually by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America to the player who “best exemplifies the spirit of cooperation with the media that he embodied.”

Leaving the Baltimore Ravens to sign with the Steelers on a three-year contract in 2024, Queen quickly emerged as a leader on Pittsburgh's defense, as well as earning Pro Bowl recognition in his debut season with the Black and Gold.
Over the past five years, the recipients are as follows: OLB Alex Highsmith (2024), CB Patrick Peterson (2023), C Mason Cole (2022), DT Cameron Heyward (2021), and QB Ben Roethlisberger (2020).
