At this point, we have no idea where the Pittsburgh Steelers will be picking in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft. The Steelers snuck into the playoffs thanks to a huge Week 18 win over the Baltimore Ravens and the fans hope that this team can finally make a deep playoff run.
No matter where the Steelers pick, the top draft needs aren't going to change. Quarterback, wide receiver and cornerback are the top of the list so we expect Pittsburgh to look for the top player on the board at one of those spots.

In Todd McShay's new mock draft, this is precisely where the Steelers find themselves with the No. 21 overall pick. The Steelers had the option of USC wide receiver Makai Lemon, Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson and Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood.
McShay went with Lemon and it is tough to argue with that choice. The Steelers need to address the quarterback, but it is impossible to pass on a playmaker like Lemon. He's a complete route runner and one of the most dynamic players in college football. Lemon finished with 79 receptions for 1,156 yards and a 11 receiving touchdowns.
Rolling the dice on Simpson would be tempting but his late-season struggles are worrisome and Lemon is a much more of a sure thing here.
