A fearsome edge rusher duo awaits the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, Houston Texans’ defensive ends Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, who earned some high praise from head coach Mike Tomlin.
Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Tomlin wasted little time addressing two edge rushers the Steelers offense will lose sleep over — Anderson and Hunter — claiming the two are “simply the most dynamic edge rush tandem” in the league this season.
Through 17 games this season, Anderson has recorded 12 sacks, 54 combined tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles. He was also named to his second Pro Bowl.

Hunter found similar success in 2025, recording 15 sacks, 54 combined tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles.
Steelers starting left tackle Dylan Cook and starting right tackle Troy Fautanu will undoubtedly have their hands full in this upcoming wild-card matchup against the Texans, tasked with keeping veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers upright as Pittsburgh looks to earn its first playoff win since the 2016 season.
