Steelers CB returns to practice amid calf injury ahead of Week 18

While injuries have run rampant in the Steel City, the Pittsburgh Steelers received a massive boost on the defensive side of the ball.

As the Week 18 game against the Baltimore Ravens fast approaches, Steelers cornerback James Pierre returned to practice after missing three games with a calf injury. Fans can take a look at the talented defender practicing with footage made available courtesy of Penn Live's Nick Farabaugh.

Signing with Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent in 2020, Pierre finally emerged as a starting cornerback in his sixth season, proving himself against some of the best wide receivers in the league.

Pierre appeared to be trending in the right direction last week but unfortunately was downgraded to a non-participant to close out practice.

Pierre wasn't the only previously injured Steeler to return to practice on Wednesday, as Pittsburgh also welcomed back wide receiver Calvin Austin III and cornerback Brandin Echols, who missed last week's loss to the Cleveland Browns.
