The NFL coaching carousel is off to a roaring start, and a dark-horse candidate for head coaching and offensive coordinator jobs has surfaced after the Dolphins fired head coach Mike McDaniel. The move comes after McDaniel had met with reporters on Monday and said he would be part of the team's interviews to hire a new general manager.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross met with McDaniel this week to discuss the season, and after getting input from those general manager candidates, McDaniel is out.
