The NFL weekend kicked off on Thursday with Christmas Day games followed by two games on Saturday, so we are a good chunk of the way through Week 17 already, believe it or not. The Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers squared off in a game with unexpectedly high playoff implications on Sunday.

For the Seahawks, the win keeps them in first place in the NFC while the Panthers needed to win to stay atop the NFC South and in the playoffs. Luckily, the Miami Dolphins knocked off the Bucs and kept the Panthers in first place.

The biggest matchup of Week 17 was on Sunday night when the Chicago Bears traveled to the San Francisco 49ers. Both teams were 11-4, but the 49ers pulled it out in the end to keep pressure on Seattle.

The Atlanta Falcons defeated the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, which threw a wrench in the playoff picture but not for Seattle.
