The Minnesota Vikings enjoyed veteran safety Harrison Smith turning back the clock in Week 17 when he helped his team to dispatch the Lions on Christmas Day. The team secured their fourth straight win in the process and brought their record to .500 for the season at 8-8.
However, the honors and excitement didn't stop there as we find ourselves now looking at the NFL's Players of the Week and Harrison Smith was named one of them.

Smith was named the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week for his performance on Christmas Day. He racked up three tackles, two tackles for a loss, three pass breakups, one sack, and one interception. After earning the award, he was also the oldest player in the NFL to earn Player of the Week honors, and the fourth Vikings player to earn the honor this year.
He joined Isaiah Rodgers, Levi Drake Rodriguez, and J.J. McCarthy, who earned layer of the week honors previously in 2025.
