Rui Hachimura will miss at least two more games

Right now, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent and rookie forward Adou Thiero are out due to injuries for the Los Angeles Lakers. Reaves will miss at least three more weeks with a gastrocnemius strain, and Thiero is expected to miss at least four weeks because of an MCL sprain.

Coach JJ Redick said he hopes Vincent will be able to return during the Lakers' upcoming two-game road trip, which includes games against the New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. He previously said Hachimura, who has a calf ailment, could also return during that trip, but instead, the forward will not be with the team.

With Hachimura out, Los Angeles is missing not only a supplemental scoring option but also one of its few true 3-point threats. He is averaging 12.7 points a game and shooting 52.1% from the field and 44.5% from 3-point range so far this season.

The Lakers will be back home on Friday, Jan. 9, when they will host Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.
