Roma give Raspadori ultimatum

Roma are struggling offensively, with numbers that highlight the team’s issues.

Despite the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini, known for his attacking play, the Giallorossi are struggling to score.

At this point in the season, the Trigoria club has scored just 20 goals, the worst offensive performance of any team coached by Gasperini in the last ten years.

Furthermore, they have kept six clean sheets (out of 18), another record for the coach, who has never faced such a scoring challenge.

The team’s top scorer, Soulé, has scored just five goals, a statistic that highlights the team’s struggle to find the back of the net.

Another factor revealing their offensive struggles, writes La Gazzetta dello Sport, is their shot average: Roma manage just 13.2 per game, one of the lowest figures in Serie A, with Inter, the league leaders, averaging 17.3.

The offensive performances, particularly those of center-forwards Dovbyk and Ferguson, are under scrutiny: combined, the two forwards have scored just four league goals.

Dybala, while still crucial for Gasperini thanks to his class, has yet to find the consistency he hoped for, and his tally stands at just one goal and one assist in Serie A.

In this scenario, Roma is looking to the transfer market, focusing on Giacomo Raspadori.

The player, who initially had doubts about his future at Atletico Madrid, has received confirmation that his place in Simeone’s team will be limited.

Roma, with an agreement with the Colchoneros, remains the main contender for his acquisition, with terms more advantageous than those offered by Napoli.

Important news is expected today regarding the Italian striker’s future, with the club expected to make a final decision.

If no agreement is reached, the Giallorossi could look at other options, such as Giovane from Verona.
