Rittenberg notes that in his college coaching career, Partridge has coached standout defensive linemen, including JJ Watt, Calijah Kancey, and Trey Flowers.

Partridge was hired by the Colts in January of 2024 as part of Gus Bradley's staff. He has spent two seasons with the team after being retained by current defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo.

Before joining the Colts, Partridge was the co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at the college level for Pittsburgh from 2018-2023.

From 2014-2016, he was the head coach at Florida Atlantic and was the assistant head coach at Arkansas in 2013.

This season, the Colts' run defense has fared well, ranking third in yards per rush allowed. However, the front four, particularly the defensive ends, have struggled to generate a consistent pass rush this season.
