Recap: OKC Blue drop 124-102 loss to Valley Suns

The G League's OKC Blue went through a 124-102 loss to the Valley Suns on Wednesday. The road defeat dropped their record to 2-7 on the season.

Not a lot went right for the Blue. They were in a 31-30 deficit after the first quarter. The offense went pretty well. It felt like they've built some momentum from their previous win over the same squad. Instead, that only lasted at the start. OKC only scored 24 points in the second frame.

The Blue were in a 59-54 deficit at halftime. Still within reach, the Suns had a 33-19 scoring advantage in the third quarter. That turned this from a somewhat close game to a lopsided affair. OKC was in a 92-73 hole. It trailed by double-digit points throughout the fourth quarter despite 29 points.

The Blue shot 46% from the field and went 7-of-23 (30.4%) from 3. They shot 7-of-11 on free throws. They had 18 assists on 41 baskets. Four Blue players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Suns shot 47% from the field and went 16-of-43 (37.2%) from 3. They shot 15-of-18 on free throws. They had 32 assists on 42 baskets. Five Suns players scored double-digit points.
