Rams named 'the most dangerous wild card team we've seen in some time'

The Los Angeles Rams head into the playoffs with a bit of a chip on their shoulders. After looking like the No. 1 seed in the NFC for some time, they finished as the No. 5 seed and will have to play on the road for their first playoff matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

But despite going 3-3 in their final six games, NFL Network reporter Cameron Wolfe is very bullish on the Rams' chances in the playoffs. He called L.A. "the most dangerous wild card team we've seen in some time" and cited a conversation with a general manager whose team missed the playoffs, where the GM noted the Rams' have one of the best combinations of coach, quarterback and defense.

The Rams boast the NFL's first-ranked scoring offense with quarterback Matthew Stafford leading the NFL in passing yards and passing touchdowns, alongside league-leading receiver Puka Nacua, who ranks first in receptions at 129. The defense allows the 10th-fewest points at 20.4 with a bevy of stout defensive linemen like Kobie Turner, Poona Ford, Braden Fiske, Jared Verse and Byron Young.

Oh yeah, and the NFL's leading touchdown receiver, Davante Adams, is expected back.

While the Panthers did take the Rams down a few weeks ago, it was an uncharacteristic day for Stafford, where he turned the ball over three times. So, there's also redemption on the minds of the Rams heading into a pivotal showdown in Charlotte.
