Rams incentives tracker: Which players will hit or miss big bonuses?

1 week ago 2

The Los Angeles Rams will host the Arizona Cardinals at SoFi Stadium on Sunday in Week 18 for a divisional matchup that won't mean much, but Sean McVay's team is looking to get back on track after back-to-back losses.

This contest will be Los Angeles' final before the postseason, which means several players will have their opportunity to earn their contract incentives for 2025.

Let's go through all of the Rams' contract incentives and see where they stand entering Week 18.

LT Alaric Jackson

  • $500,000 for 90% snaps

  • $1 million for Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro

Jackson didn't make the Pro Bowl, so he'll miss the $1 million bonus, but he could earn the $500,000 if he plays roughly 50% of the snaps on Sunday. Jackson has been limited in practice with a knee injury and didn't play last week.

WR Davante Adams

  • $250,000 for Pro Bowl

  • $250,000 for 60% of the offensive snaps and a divisional round win

  • $250,000 for 60% of the offensive snaps and a conference round win

  • $250,000 for 60% of the offensive snaps and a Super Bowl win

Adams hasn't made the Pro Bowl, so he won't see that $250,000. He's played less than 60% of the team's snaps so far, so if he doesn't play a significant number of snaps, he won't see the remaining $750,000 even if the team wins the Super Bowl.

OT Rob Havenstein

  • $250,000 for 80% of the offensive snaps

  • $500,000 for 85% of the offensive snaps

  • $1 million for 90% of the offensive snaps

  • $1.5 million for 90% of the offensive snaps and a playoff berth

  • $2 million for 90% of the offensive snaps and a Super Bowl appearance

Havenstein is still on injured reserve, and he's below all of his play-time incentives, so he won't see any of those bonuses.

DL Poona Ford

  • $250,000 for 50% of the defensive snaps, and the Rams have to be top-13 in defensive net yards

  • $250,000 for 50% of the defensive snaps, and the Rams have to be top-13 in net rush yards allowed

  • $500,000 for 55% of the defensive snaps, and the Rams have to improve in defensive net yards from 2024

Ford is below the 50% play-time threshold, and unless he plays roughly every snap on Sunday, he probably won't be making those incentives.

CB Darious Williams

  • $500,000 for 65% of the defensive snaps

  • $750,000 for 70% of the defensive snaps

  • $1 million for 75% of the defensive snaps

  • $2 million for 80% of the defensive snaps

  • $500,000 for 80% of the defensive snaps, and the Rams make the playoffs

Williams has played less than 50% of the defensive snaps, so he won't earn his incentives.

TE Tyler Higbee

  • $125,000 for 300 receiving yards

  • $250,000 for 400 receiving yards

  • $375,000 for 500 receiving yards

  • $500,000 for 600 receiving yards

  • $875,000 for 600 receiving yards, and the Rams make the playoffs

Higbee has just 190 receiving yards on the season, and while his 21-day practice window was opened this week, he'd have to be activated by Saturday and have a 110-yard day.

C Coleman Shelton

  • $1 million for 90% of the offensive snaps

  • $250,000 for 80% of the offensive snaps, and the Rams need to improve in offensive net yards from 2024 to 2025.

  • $250,000 for 80% of the offensive snaps, and the Rams need to finish top-13 in offensive net yards.

  • $250,000 for 80% of the offensive snaps, and the Rams need to finish top-11 in offensive net yards.

  • $250,000 for 80% of the offensive snaps, and the Rams need to finish top-9 in offensive net yards.

Shelton has played 98.9% of the team's offensive snaps, and they will finish top-9 for this year and improve from last year. He's already guaranteed that he'll make the extra $2 million.

S Kamren Curl

  • $1.5 million for 85% of the defensive snaps

  • $500,000 for 85% of the defensive snaps, and the Rams have to make the playoffs.

Curl has played roughly 99% of the team's defensive snaps this year, and they've already clinched a playoff appearance, so he'll earn the additional $2 million.

QB Jimmy Garoppolo

  • $250,000 for 35% of the offensive snaps

  • $250,000 for 45% of the offensive snaps

  • $250,000 for 55% of the offensive snaps

  • $250,000 for 65% of the offensive snaps

  • $20,588 for 25% of the offensive snaps in a win

  • $100,000 for 50% of the offensive snaps in a win

Garoppolo has played just 1% of the team's offensive snaps this season, so unless he plays most of the game against the Cardinals, he won't earn any of those incentives.

CB Ahkello Witherspoon

  • $250,000 for 55% of the defensive snaps

  • $250,000 for 60% of the defensive snaps

  • $250,000 for 65% of the defensive snaps

  • $250,000 for 70% of the defensive snaps

  • $250,000 for 75% of the defensive snaps, and the Rams need to make the playoffs

  • $250,000 for 75% of the defensive snaps, and the Rams need to win a playoff game

  • $250,000 for 75% of the defensive snaps, and the Rams need to make the Super Bowl

Witherspoon spent most of the season on injured reserve, so he won't make any of his incentives because he'll miss the playing-time thresholds.
