Raiders schedule third head coach interview from division rival

4 days ago 2

Surely the Raiders will be casting a wide net in their search for their new head coach. But their search is beginning with their division rivals. The first reports had them requesting interviews with Broncos assistants Vance Joseph and Davis Webb. And the latest has them scheduling an interview with Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy.

Nagy will interview with the Raiders Thursday afternoon, coming to Vegas straight from his interview with the Tennessee Titans in the morning.

Nagy has been the OC in KC the past three seasons. It was a return to the job after being fired as head coach of the Bears where he went 34-31 over four years in Chicago (2018-21). There, he went 12-4 in his first season, winning AP coach of the year. But in the three seasons to follow, he failed to break .500 and was fired after going 6-11.
