Three weeks ago, Kolton Miller returned to practice after being on injured reserve for two months. His return opened the 21-day window for the team to activate him from IR. That window lasted until today. And it closed with the team opting not to activate him.
Miller suffered an high ankle sprain and a hairline fracture back in late September. The recovery time was expected to be 8-12 weeks. The former was when his 21-day window opened. The latter would mean he was done for the season. It turned out to be the latter.

In his absence, veteran Stone Forsythe has started at the left tackle spot to less than stellar results.
It was admirable that Miller would even return to practice considering the Raiders' season was a lost cause. And once the team started sending all of their banged up starters to injured reserve, it appeared highly unlikely Miller would be back at all.
The eight-year veteran signed a three-year, $66 million extension back in July that will keep him as the Raiders left tackle until 2028.
