There are a lot of NFL teams who are licking their chops at the possibility that Maxx Crosby could be had in a trade this offseason. The 28-year-old finished second in the league in tackles for loss (28), even while not playing in the final two games of the season. He also had double digit sacks four the fourth time in his seven NFL seasons.
You combine his talents along with Crosby's unhappiness at being sat down the final two games of the season and you have a formula for a possible change of scenery for the five-time Pro Bowler.

Monday, Raiders GM John Spytek took to the podium for a postseason press conference. And after announcing the team was parting ways with head coach Pete Carroll after one season, he took questions, including on the future of Maxx Crosby. In particular if Crosby is a untouchable. Which is to say that if teams inquire, will he be unwilling to consider a trade. And his answer...was far from definitive.
"I have a lot of respect for Maxx [Crosby] and how much he loves to play the game," said Spytek adding that he's spoken to Crosby a lot recently.
"It's been well documented that he didn't love the idea of not playing football, and I think you always want that from your best players. In fact, I think that's why they're your best players. So, I love Maxx; he embodies what a Raider is. I've been pretty upfront with that from the day that I sat up here almost a year ago, and I continue to believe that."
And with that, let the wild speculation begin. Crosby also hasn't come out and said definitively and committed to wanting to stay with the Raiders. So, there will be a lot of discussions had between now and at least the draft as to whether the Raiders would be open to trading their best player to add more draft capital as they look to rebuild.
