Raiders 2025 season Ballers & Busters

5 days ago 2

It's only been three days since the Raiders 2025 season came to a close. Even though it may seem like three weeks with the coaching situation moving as it has. The Raiders "won" their season finale against a Chiefs team that didn't want to win even if they had been capable. The Raiders weren't really interested in winning either, but seeing as how they had locked up the number one overall pick before the game kicked off, they figured why not and trotted out Daniel Carlson to kick the game-winning 60-yard field goal.

The season began in spectacular fashion, with the Raiders taking down the Patriots in New England. Apparently they caught the Patriots off guard with their game plan. That wouldn't again be an issue the rest of the season.

From there the Raiders went on two long losing streaks. First rattling off four straight losses before pulling out a 20-10 win over the woeful Titans. Then a ten-game losing streak going into that ugly who-wants-it-less affair to put a merciful end to the season.

So, let's tally up some scores for the players and hand out some Ballers and Busters for the season. We start with the kudos.

Ballers

DE Maxx Crosby

Six times a Baller and twice a Top Baller. Not exactly up to his standard from previous seasons, but still the standard bearer for this team. Though things didn't end well for Crosby, with him being publicly upset about being placed on IR for the final two games, he performed at a high level over his 15 games and is clearly still the best defender on this team by a wide margin.

RB Ashton Jeanty

Based on pure numbers, his season wasn't outstanding. But anyone actually watching could see how much he was doing to make something out of less than nothing. For instance, he had over 1000 yards from scrimmage...after contact. And it led to four time named a Baller and twice a Top Baller. It took him all 17 games, but he managed to set a Raiders franchise rookie record with 1321 yards from scrimmage. He fell just 25 yards shy of 1000 on the season.

TE Brock Bowers

Another Pro Bowl season for Bowers despite a knee injury hampering him in the early part of the season and causing him to miss five games. He was also named a Baller three time and Top Baller twice. Though most of his totals were way down this season, he upped his TD total from five as a rookie to seven this season.

CB Eric Stokes

He wasn't a heralded signing by the Raiders this offseason. But he went on to be a pretty lockdown cornerback on the season. At a position that often only gets recognized when they make a mistake, he was a Buster just once while thrice being named a Baller.
