The Atlanta Falcons defeated the New Orleans Saints in Week 18 to finish the 2025 NFL season on a four-game winning streak. While Sunday's victory was too little, too late in terms of helping the Falcons make the playoffs, they still beat their biggest rivals in a game that affected the NFC South division race.
Rookie James Pearce Jr. recorded two sacks and kicker Zane Gonzalez made four field goals to secure a two-point win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Falcons head coach Raheem Morris was happy with his team's performance in Sunday's finale.

"Obviously, we want to go to the playoffs, we want to do major things," Morris said to open his post-game press conference. "We want to do really good football things, but the only thing we could do today was win this game. Our business is winning football games and they did it today."
When asked about the team setting a new record for sacks in a season, Morris wasn't overly impressed.
"Stats are for losers," said Morris. "It's more about us finding a way to get to the quarterback. Really setting our mind to it this week. Got to give credit to Terry [Fontenot] and his staff."
Morris was also asked about his future as the Falcons head coach and said he hopes to be back in 2026.

"My expectation is always to be back," answered Morris. "I'm going to coach this football team as long as [Arthur Blank] allows me."
