The Green Bay Packers claimed cornerback Trevon Diggs and made 14 other moves during a two-day flurry of decisions required to fortify an injured and ailing roster that is limping into the regular season finale and the postseason.
Incredibly, a team with a postseason spot clinched entering Week 18 needed to place four players on season-ending injured reserve, sign four players from the practice squad, claim two players off waivers and sign four players to the practice squad.

Note: While Diggs was officially claimed off waivers on Wednesday, he must first pass a physical before he's added to the 53-man roster.
A quick overview of the roster moves made by the Packers since Tuesday:
Placed on injured reserve (4): DT Jordon Riley, CB Kamal Hadden, CB Nate Hobbs, S Zayne Anderson
Saturday night's loss to the Ravens also featured four season-ending injuries for the Packers. Riley (Achilles), Hadden (ankle), Hobbs (knee) and Anderson (ankle) will all miss the rest of the season after suffering injuries last Saturday night. None of the injuries were especially devastating on their own. Together, the quartet of losses provided another big stressor on an already injury-beset roster.

Claimed (2): DT Jonathan Ford, CB Trevon Diggs
Ford, a 2022 draft pick of the Packers, will help replace Riley at nose tackle. He was claimed off waivers from the Bears. Diggs, a two-time All-Pro, was waived by the Cowboys on Tuesday, opening up an opportunity for the Packers to add an experienced cornerback to a devastated position group. Ford and Diggs could play important roles for the Packers defense in the postseason; Ford as an interior run defender, and Diggs as a Hail Mary attempt to generate more turnovers.

Signed to 53-man roster from practice squad (4): QB Clayton Tune, S Jonathan Baldwin, CB Jaylin Simpson, CB Shemar Bartholomew
Signing all four to the active roster was probably required to get through Sunday's regular season finale. Tune has a chance to start at quarterback, and the secondary needed the depth at both positions. Nate Hobbs and Kamal Hadden are out, and the Packers could sit or limit the play time of Keisean Nixon, Xavier McKinney, Evan Williams and Javon Bullard against the Vikings.

Signed to practice squad (4): QB Desmond Ridder, G Karsten Barnhart, CB Tyron Herring, RB Damien Martinez
It's possible Ridder, an 18-game starter at the NFL level, and Martinez, a 2025 seventh-round pick, could both be elevated and play in Sunday's finale. Ridder is a backup option if Tune starts and Jordan Love and Malik Willis both sit, while Martinez is the only running back on the practice squad who can be elevated (Pierre Strong Jr. is out of elevations and would need to be signed to the 53-man roster).
Released (1): DL Quinton Bohanna
Bohanna, who was claimed off waivers from the Seahawks earlier this month, struggled in his lone appearance last week against the Ravens. The Packers need Jonathan Ford and Nazir Stackhouse to improve the interior run defense in a big way.
