WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue football coach Barry Odom continues to tinker with the 2026 staff.

Goldsmith will work alongside Butler Benton, who was hired from UCLA in November to become Purdue's director of player personnel. Both Benton and Goldsmith are Detroit natives. Goldsmith signed with Colorado State as a cornerback out of Cass Tech High School and finished his playing career at Idaho State.

Goldsmith previously worked on the Utah staff as a player personnel analyst for two seasons under Kyle Whittingham, now Michigan's head coach, and also has worked at Western Michigan.
