We have our second portal addition for the day, as former West Virginia safety Chris Fileppo will be coming to Penn State after playing his freshman year with the Mountaineers. The 6-foot-4, 208-pound Fileppo saw action in all 12 of West Virginia’s games this past season, racking up 12 tackles and one tackle for a loss. His most productive game saw him garner five tackles against Texas Tech.

The Pennsylvania native will have three years of eligibility remaining and is now the seventh new safety addition, and the fifth addition via the transfer portal. While I wouldn’t expect him to push for a starting role at safety, it’s hard to not at least see him be a key contributor on special teams.
