Panthers injury report: More good news heading into matchup vs. Rams

The Carolina Panthers might be as healthy as they possibly can be for their first playoff game in eight years.

Right guard Robert Hunt was listed as a full participant in practice for the third straight day, and is considered questionable for Saturday's wild-card game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Head coach Dave Canales provided an encouraging outlook on Hunt's availability for the contest.

"He had another fantastic day," Canales stated. "He was out there with his guys. I'm very optimistic about Rob playing—and I can't put anything official out there until, of course, we come up with the final roster and all that stuff. But he looked great."

Hunt was sidelined for the final 15 games of the regular season due to a biceps tear. Canales later confirmed that the Pro Bowl guard would start if he's good enough to go.

Along with Hunt, Canales was also asked about the statuses of a few key defenders—including linemen Tershawn Wharton and Bobby Brown III.

"They all looked pretty good today," Canales replied. "They're going through, they're making sure that they go through protocols the correct way. We obviously have to respect that part of it and go day by day until they're cleared. The guys are stacking great days. And it's a blessing to be getting as healthy as you can be."

Wharton and Brown will enter the weekend without game designations.
