MINNEAPOLIS – The Green Bay Packers continued with their flurry of roster moves this week with four more the day before they are to take on the Minnesota Vikings in the regular-season finale at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The club announced four more moves, including placing rookie receiver Savion Williams (foot/illness) and offensive lineman Donovan Jennings (throat) on injured reserve.

Jennings was injured in practice this week. There was a chance he was going to start against the Vikings. The Packers have not said exactly what happened to Jennings.

Williams has been battling a foot injury for a good part of the season. This will be the fifth time in six games he has sat out due to either the foot injury or illness.

Since Dec. 26, the Packers have placed eight players on injured reserve, signed six players from the practice squad to the 53-man roster and claimed two players off waivers from other teams.

4 signed or elevated from practice squad; Desmond Ridder is not

The latest additions were receiver Jakobie Keeney-James and guard/center Lecitus Smith being signed from the practice squad to the 53-man, and tight end Drake Dabney and linebacker Jamon Johnson being elevated from the practice squad to the Jan. 4 game-day roster.

The 6-foot, 190-pound Keeney-James was signed to the Packers’ practice squad Sept. 23 after the Detroit Lions released him at the end of training camp. The Lions signed him as an undrafted free agent in May after he spent five seasons at Eastern Washington (2019-‘23) and one season at UMass (2024).

He played 49 games in college, catching 111 passes for 1,664 yards (15.0 average) and 10 touchdowns.

The 6-3, 314-pound Smith was a sixth-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2022. He originally joined the Packers in ’24, taking part in the offseason and training camp before being released. He was added to the practice squad and spent six weeks there before New England signed him to their 53-man roster. He appeared in eight games with one start.

In ’25, the Packers signed him Aug. 5, cut him Aug. 26, signed him to the practice squad Sept. 24, elevated him to the game-day roster Sept. 27, returned him to the practice squad and then released him Nov. 4. He was re-signed to the practice squad Nov. 12, where he has remained until now.

Dabney and Johnson both have been elevated to the game-day roster previously. This is Dabney’s second elevation and Johnson’s third. Johnson will no longer be eligible to be elevated and would have to be signed to the 53-man roster to play.

The Packers did not elevate quarterback Desmond Ridder from the practice squad and so either starter Jordan Love or backup Malik Willis will serve as the No. 2 behind Clayton Tune, who is scheduled to start.
