Green Bay Packers safety Evan Williams was fined for an illegal hit falling under the "unnecessary roughness" category for the second time during the 2025 season. The NFL fined Williams $6,448 for a "hit on a defenseless player" with 30 seconds left in the second quarter against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17.
Williams lowered his head and struck Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely in the helmet while Likely was going to the ground. The play was penalized 15 yards and helped set up the Ravens' touchdown before the end of the first half.

Williams was previously fined in Week 9 for illegal use of his helmet. Both fines were $6,448, giving Williams a fine total of $12,896 so far in 2025.
Williams is the only Packers player to be fined twice for gameday accountability infractions this season.
Williams can appeal. Per the NFL, all appeal cases are "heard by appeals officers and former NFL players, Derrick Brooks, Ramon Foster or Jordy Nelson, who are jointly appointed and paid by the NFL/NFLPA. The decisions made are final and binding."
Ravens safety Alohi Gilman was fined $17,389 for a facemask penalty on receiver Romeo Doubs in the second quarter in Week 17.
