Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur said he is planning to rest some of his starters during the regular season finale against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
LaFleur wouldn't provide specific details on who would or would not play, but he admitted the team's medical situation will drive many of the decisions.

"Here's what I told the team. We have 53 spots on our roster. You can have two callups. You have 48 dressed on gameday. So there are going to be some starters who are not going to play. Shoot, they might not suit up, they might suit up. And then there is going to be some starters who are going to play. Basically, you guys will find out on Sunday who's playing," LaFleur said Wednesday.
LaFleur said it's a "great opportunity" for some younger players to get regular season snaps in the finale.
The Packers have several injury hurdles to overcome in shaping the 48-player gameday roster.
"Medical is going to drive some of these decisions for us, it is what it is. You have to make the best of it. Collectively, you have to make the best decision what you think puts your team in the best position moving forward," LaFleur said.

Quarterback Jordan Love will practice on Wednesday but remains in the concussion protocol. LaFleur said he wants to see how the week goes before making a decision on Love's status, but he also said it's unfortunate that Love has missed time entering the postseason.
"I wouldn't say it's ideal, but it's the circumstance," LaFleur said. "We would have loved for him to play vs. Baltimore, but that wasn't the case."
LaFleur said the Packers were planning to play Love against the Ravens based on the practice reps during the week, but he did not clear concussion protocol in time.
Quarterback Malik Willis will also practice on Wednesday, per LaFleur. The team is adding veteran quarterback Desmond Ridder to the practice squad on Wednesday, giving the Packers another option for Sunday if both Love and Willis rest.

LaFleur said cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee) and special teamer Zayne Anderson (ankle) will likely miss the rest of the season. Right tackle Zach Tom is "not out of the woods" in terms of his knee injury to begin this week.
