The Green Bay Packers announced seven different roster moves on the final Tuesday of the 2025 regular season.
The team signed cornerbacks Shemar Bartholomew and Jaylin Simpson from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, claimed defensive lineman Jonathan Ford off waivers from the Chicago Bears, signed running back Damien Martinez to the practice squad, placed cornerback Kamal Hadden and defensive lineman Jordon Riley on injured reserve and released defensive lineman Quinton Bohanna.

Expect another roster move by the end of the week; the Packers still have one more open spot on the 53-man roster and the practice squad, and the team needs more healthy bodies for the regular season finale.
Hadden (ankle) and Riley (Achilles) both suffered significant, season-ending injuries during the Packers' loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night.
Claiming Ford and releasing Bohanna is a straight swap of nose tackles. Ford is a former 2022 draft pick of the Packers who spent three seasons in Green Bay before moving on to Chicago and appearing in 12 games for the Bears since 2024. Bohanna was claimed off waivers from the Seahawks on Dec. 5 but struggled in his lone appearance for the Packers on Saturday night against the Ravens. Green Bay is desperate for help at defensive tackle, especially after allowing 307 rushing yards last week.
With Hadden on injured reserve, Nate Hobbs injured and the Packers likely wanting to rest Keisean Nixon in the regular season finale, two cornerbacks were signed to the active roster from the practice squad. Bartholomew, who signed with the Packers on Dec. 2, played in five games for the Carolina Panthers last season. Simpson, a fifth-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2024, was signed by the Packers in August and has been on the practice squad all season. He has experience both in the slot and at safety.

Martinez was a seventh-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2025 draft. He will provide the Packers a player to elevate from the practice squad so veteran Josh Jacobs can be rested in the regular season finale.
The Packers finish the regular season on the road against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Jan. 4.
